Grayling and trout
River
Maze (Mazejohka), northern Norway
Excellent fly
fishing for big grayling and trout. The destination is
situated in Finnmark in the northern part of Norway. You
take a flight to Alta Airport were you are picked op by the local
guide Johan Anders Somby. He will take you to the base camp by this
magnificent river. The last miles of the trip there will be by ATW!
You and your party will sleep in traditional Sami tents, quite
comfortable and all meals are included.
There are actually two camps by the river and you can choose to use
the upper one as your starting camp. Here you can use the supplied
canoes to drift and fish your way down to the base camp.
Alternative, you can fish in the region of the upper camp.
You hardly meet anyone else fishing here as the access is strictly
controlled by the Sami people. Season is July and August.
Advice on
flies to use etc. will be given in good time before your experience!
