Grayling and trout

River Maze (Mazejohka), northern Norway

Excellent fly fishing for big grayling and trout. The destination is situated in Finnmark in the northern part of Norway. You take a flight to Alta Airport were you are picked op by the local  guide Johan Anders Somby. He will take you to the base camp by this magnificent river. The last miles of the trip there will be by ATW! You and your party will sleep in traditional Sami tents, quite comfortable and all meals are included.
There are actually two camps by the river and you can choose to use the upper one as your starting camp. Here you can use the supplied canoes to drift and fish your way down to the base camp. Alternative, you can fish in the region of the upper camp.
You hardly meet anyone else fishing here as the access is strictly controlled by the Sami people.  Season is July and August.

Advice on flies to use etc. will be given in good time before your experience!
