Welcome to one of the
wildest and reputated salmon/ sea-trout
rivers in Norway.
We hope soon the river also will continue Her
old days unbeatable salmon reputation!
I'm sorry the
guide isn't updated at this moment, we are working to
solve
this soon.
In the marvellous and un-regulated
River Driva, the salmon migrate nearly
98km from the sea,
trough wild waterfalls and incredible gorges.
For several years now, the salmon has been scarce due to
gyrodactlylus salaris. However the season 2004 have brought
hope for the future; the catch of wild salmon in the river has
probably exceeded 2500kg!
In spite of the problems for the wild salmon, the river has
produced more large sea-trout than any other in Scandinavia
and this fishing has been spectacular!
(The catch on rod in 2001 exceeded
10.000kg!)
